Panchatantra

Panchatantra is a fable that tells the story of a cruel lion named Numskull and a clever rabbit. The animals in the forest make a plan to stop the lion from killing them. When is the rabbit’s turn to go with the lion, he plans the king’s death. This story has a big moral to life; it teaches us that we can do things better if we think more instead of recklessly acting. In life you have to be like the rabbit, to make the best decisions for your future, and avoid acting like the lion, or you won’t achieve any goal and you will live without friends. So you need to think wisely and make the best decisions for you.The main morals of the reading are that you have to be humble and not selfish, to show solidarity and to work with your group to achieve your team goals. You can relate this fable to real life because in life you need to be like the rabbit to be a successful person.

Confucianism

Is a Chinese ethical and philosphical developed from the teachings of the Chinese philosopher Confucius.
It focuses on human morality and wrong action. It is a complex system of moral, social, political, philosophical, and quasi-religious thought that has had tremendous influence on the culture and history of East Asia. It might be considered astate religion of some East Asian countries, because of governmental promotion of Confucian values.

The Analects

I found this very interesting because shows because it teach us how to be happy and how to accomplished peace in our hearts and in our society. My favourite teaching that I found in the Analects is “In teaching, there should be no distinction of classes.” I liked this because; here it says that education should be for everyone. As a Guatemalan I get very identified with this because here in Guatemala, not everyone receives education, and I think that if we want a better country the government should support the education for all the people.

We Are A Band

I liked this song because it reminds me that there is always someone above us. That he loves us and that he died for us. Also tries to remind us that we are brothers and sisters, and we don’t have to fight between us, instead we should love God for what he gave us.
